Circulation and mobility support for dogs with back stiffness, hind leg weakness, disc disease, or age-related decline.
Lumbrex is one of the most-requested formulas in the Gold Standard Herbs line — currently featured in Dr. Judy Morgan's "Senior Essentials" collection and frequently backordered. The herbs are designed to support circulation to the spine and hindquarters, ease lumbar stiffness, and help senior dogs move more comfortably day to day.
Best for dogs with:
- Back stiffness or hesitation to jump and climb stairs
- Hind leg weakness or knuckling
- Numbness, tingling, or proprioceptive deficits
- Disc disease (IVDD) — common in Dachshunds, French Bulldogs, Corgis
- Recovery from a disc episode (after the acute phase)
- General senior mobility decline
How to use:
Mix powder directly into your dog's food. Safe for long-term daily use. Often used alongside Voltrex as a one-two punch — Voltrex first for acute inflammation and ligament/spinal cord healing, then Lumbrex (or both) for ongoing circulation support.
To use, just fold the herbs into your pet's real food diet, mix them with a little butter, or shake them up with broth or water and pour them over top if using canned or kibble.
As a suggested starting dose, give twice daily as follows:
- Up to 15 pounds: 1/8 tsp
- 15 to 40 pounds: 1/4 tsp
- 40 to 70 pounds: 1/2 tsp
- 70 to 110 pounds: 3/4 tsp
- Over 110 pounds: 1 tsp
If benefits are not seen, the dose can be safely doubled.
